I have teamed up with Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association (GLASA) to run the Chicago Marathon on Sunday October 8, 2017. This will be my third year racing in support of GLASA.
For the last three years, I have raced the Chicago Marathon as a way to give back to GLASA for all they have done for me. Since joining GLASA I have had the opportunity to race in the Chicago Marathon, Boston Marathon, Paralympic Trials, and most recently US Paralympic Nationals in LA. They have also helped me gain my International Paralympic Classification and a grant to help with the cost of travel and entry fees.
GLASA also helps young disabled kids to compete and find enjoyment in sports that otherwise their schools may not have offered. They do this by offering coaching, access to equipment, and support at events. I believe that GLASA helps kids to find a new level of confidence and more importantly community through sports.
Help me give back by donating a few dollars. This money will go to helping GLASA continue to do the great work that they do.
