I've been given a unique opportunity to Run in the 2017 Chicago Marathon and raise money for the Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association (www.GLASA.org). For those of you that don't know, my Uncle Lt. Col. Robert (Ted) T. Moorman (retired) was permanently disabled in a military plane crash in 2006 while enroute from Dover Delaware to Kuwait. I was named after my Uncle Ted and he has always been a positive influence in my life. We have a tremendous amount in common from our choice in fraternities (Pi Kappa Alpha), choice in College Degrees (Accounting), our love of flying (he as a pilot for both the US Airforce and United Airlines, and me as a Private Pilot with a Minor in Aeronautics), our love of cars (BMWs and Teslas), our passion for home improvement and our penny pinching nature:) So when uncle Ted asked me to donate my body to GLASA's mission of "Empowering youth, adults and injured military personnel with physical and visual disabilities to be healthy and active through sports and recreation participation", I couldn't say no. Please don't take your able body for granted and help make the GLASA Motto of "Let No One Sit on the Sidelines" a reality by donating today! Thanks, Little Ted.
