Hello family and friends!

I'm running the 2017 Chicago Marathon! While I planned on doing this in 2016, as many of you may know, I got hit by a car. These couple of months without the function of my legs were really trying on me. Being the captain of a Big East Dance Team and excercising daily, this life change had a dramatic effect on me. I promised myself that with my doctor and physical therapist approval I would complete it in 2017 and raise money for an important cause. During my few months in which I could not walk, run or dance, I truly realized the impact your physical well being has on your life. I was dying to work out and more importantly, I needed to work out for my mental health. I am so happy and blessed that I have the ability to move again and that the depression of inabilities was only temporary, but for some this is not the case. That is why I've decided to raise $1000.00 for Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association, a non for profit that benefits the development of visually and physically impaired children, adults and military veterans. I'm completing this marathon for both them and myself. I wish to prove that I have regained all my mobility and more. But I am also completing this marathon for those who served our country, those children who have experienced traumatic brain injuries, and those who want to dance, but may not have the full capabilities, too. These are the individuals that inspire me and I hope they inspire you! Consider donating to my cause and work to let no one sit on the sidelines!

Thanks for visiting my page and Go Dawgs!
