The GLASA Bears is a competitive wheelchair football team for the USA Wheelchair Football League.

The league is the first of its kind for adults with physical disabilities looking to play America’s favorite sport.

TRYOUTS FOR 2022 SEASON

DATES: May 25 & 26

TIME: 5:30 - 7:30 PM CT

LOCATION: College of Lake County 19351 W Washington St, Grayslake, IL 60030 in parking lot #8.

Player Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years or older.
• Must have a permanent physical disability which consistently reduces the function of the lower limbs to a degree where they cannot run, pivot, block or tackle, at the speed and with the control, safety, stability and endurance required to play running football as an able-bodied player
• A player’s disability must be of a nature that it can be objectively verified by acknowledged medical investigations (i.e. X-ray, CT, MRI, etc.)
• Must be able to participate in weekly practices during the season.
• Must be able to travel to and compete in all USA Wheelchair Football League competitions, typically 2-3 per season.

**Uniforms, equipment and travel for competition are covered by GLASA.**
